Parade Red Bank Theatre reviews
This combo works!
Having a comedian like George Lopez and a music act on the same bill made me question the wisdom of such a decision. But I was wrong! George was absolutely hilarious and had the audience laughing their asses off. He included enough Colorado references to really relate to the crowd.
I've been a Parade fan since 1967 and bought my tickets to see Parade. The show was amazing! Carlos and his band tore it up, playing old Parade hits, newer songs, and covers from other performers like Led Zeppelin and Police. Everyone in the audience, from people in their 20's to those in their 60's, including myself, loved the music.
Not only is Carlos Parade a legendary musician who keeps his music fresh, but all the other band members are amazing musicians in their own right. Some of them should be more well-known. The bass and drum solos blew me away.
I was impressed by the idea of having a different type of performer open the show. George Lopez helped fill out the evening and everyone enjoyed his performance. If another band had opened for Parade, people might have just been waiting for them to finish to get to the "real" show.
